In his divorce response to Jessica Simpson's Dec. 16 divorce filing, Nick Lachey, 32, has requested spousal support from his soon-to-be ex-wife, PEOPLE has learned. In Simpson's original filing, she requested that Lachey not receive alimony.
According to court papers filed on Friday, Lachey cited irreconcilable differences for the dissolution of the marriage. In addition to financial provisions, the singer is requesting miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects, his earnings and accumulations from and after the date of separation and additional property assets to be determined.
His earrings? Oh, earnings...
Hey, Nick...next time, get that deal that Katie "Cruise" got. Sure, you'll have to act like you're having Tom's baby, but at least you'll get all that money up front.

Thats not the only thing not in need of more support. Jesus, Jessica, keep those things under control. They aren't insured.
